We Design, You Implement
Our Design-Only interior design service helps homeowners design a whole new room, or home, without the need for procurement services. Julie Sautter Interior Design provides the overall design vision, plans & elevations, furniture, fixture, and finish selections along with 2D renderings, and links to semi-custom and retail shops. We create the design, you make it a reality at your own pace!
Who is this service for?
You are a busy professional who wants a beautifully designed space but doesn't have the time or bandwidth to do it yourself.
You need new furniture but have no idea where to start.
You’re overwhelmed with decisions to make for your kitchen or bathrooms.
You want a cohesive look in your home but do not know how to achieve it.
You are not ready to invest in trade-only furnishings.
You love to shop and have the time to purchase furnishings and fixtures and manage the deliveries and installations on your own.
You have no idea how to place furniture in your strange floor plan.
You have an old or historic home and do not know how to maintain the original character while creating a functional space for your family.
You have a builder-grade home and want to add more character, upgrades, and floor plan modifications.
You do not live in the SF Bay Area area and are looking to work with a designer virtually.
Process
1 Discovery Call
Every project starts with a 15-minute phone call to get a sense of what you are looking for in your project and decide whether Design Only is the best fit.
2 Initial Consultation
This step is required at the beginning of every project. During this in-person* meeting at your home, we will come by for 2 hours to assess the project further and help get an estimate of how much things are going to cost. JSID will be able to offer suggestions, tips, and ideas to move forward with whether that be with Julie Sautter Interior Design, someone else, or your contractor.
*If your project is out of the greater San Francisco Bay Area, this process can be done virtually.
3 Contract & Deposit
At the end of the consult, we’ll know which service model is the best fit for your project and we will review that process, pricing, and contract together. If your project is a fit, we will send over a proposal, initial investment estimate, and contracts for signature.
4 Design Phase
The design process is split up into two phases: Concept Design and Detailed Design. We begin each project with a conceptual brainstorming meeting to get to know you, your family, your style, and all your desires!
The design phase typically takes a minimum of 8 weeks depending on the size of the project.
5 Implementation Phase
Procurement and project management services are not included with Design Only projects.
You will be purchasing the furnishings and executing the design at your own pace.
